Dear Sir Reginald,
In another cover I am sending you a Memo on behal[f]
of the Party Centre with enclosures, on the situation in the Prov-
inces. I am afriad we are not yet quite used to writing documents
for the Government but you will see that we talk straight and are
[f]rank.
If any of our statements are involved or need
[f]urther clarification you have only to send me a note and I will
[t]ry my best to make our attitude as clear as in humanly possible.
If you think any useful purpose will be served by
[m]y visiting you and explaining things, I will be quite willing to
[d]o so. I was told by Mr. Mackenzie that our attitude about the
[Co]ngress arouses suspicion in our bonafides. If it is so I could
[e]xplain it in a Memo.
The situation in the Provinces is deteriorating
[ve]ry fast. I hope you will be able to intervene successfully
[a]nd help us to do our bit against the Fifth Column and in saving
[t]he country.
I am going to Malabar on the 16th, and will be
[b]ack on the 29th. inst.
With good wishes,
Yours sincerely,
